They play post-rock, but it's not your generic EITS post-rock, they have their own style, and you can really tell how skilled they are with their instruments. Not much singing is going on, but when it does, it's mostly without any words (except on some collaborations they have done), and it is so fucking amazing that it almost brings me to tears.

Sweet Diesel - Morning Breath 7"

In the days of scouring every word of every liner note on every 7" ever released, the band name Sweet Diesel kept being mentioned, thanked or shouted out, or whatever, from most hardcore or heavy bands in the Northeast United States, yet they were mysterious, nobody I knew had ever heard them.

So, there on Engine Records, home of the first Deadguy 7", and an offshoot of the once mighty Blackout! Records, was this Sweet Diesel 7" staring me down. This was it, the time had come to finally sample the fruits of her rich bosoms, could Sweet Diesel be as could as I was hoping them to be?
Well, yeah, sort of. I do like the swaggering rock bravado of Surgery. I enjoy the palm muted grit of Crawlpappy. I tend to like the thick post hardcore groove of Mind Of Matter. I really get excited over the fractured hardcore of Hammerhead. So, yeah, I guess they were pretty all right. Really alright.
Members went on to The Kill Van Kull, The Brought Low, The Monumentals, JJ Paradise Players Club, and Made Out Of Babies.

Street Violence: New EP from Atlanta

The debut EP, Straight Chillin’, from Atlanta based quintet Street Violence is the type of psychedelic punk rock that hovers somewhere between The Doors, Stiff Little Fingers and Blondie. This debut EP will have you wishing you were just finishing up a psychedelic bender at a two-day jubilee of music, drugs and dancing.

Reviewed as “carnival-esque pop” by Creative Loafing, Street Violence’s sound is defined by the wailing vocals of Suzanne Baker, psychedelic keyboard work of Will Raines, and a pounding rhythm section that bounces from high energy rock in “Pussy Maggot” to all-out punk in “Shark/Punk.” Guitarist Trevor Vick provides the crunching sound that drives the band’s 60’s sound in “Outside” and “Psychedelic Drive-By,” while the primarily instrumental “Surfing With John Earle” and stomping finale of “Zone 6” round out this great first offering by Street Violence.

Brother Bear es una banda norteamericana formada a principios del 2010 por experimentados musicos que han pasado por bandas como "Oh, Apollo", "The Catastrophe Kids" y otras bandas, por lo que la experiencia de estos chicos los ha llevado hacia un proyecto musical conocido como Brother Bear, basado en la intensidad del Screamo con elementos melodicos y atrapantes del Post Rock. Banda Indie Rock y Slowcore de Chapel Hill, carolina del norte. Fueron una de las maravillas, cuya mente maestra fue Sooyoung Park, revoluciono la forma de hacer Indie Rock, con un lenguaje de tensionado de guitarras, melodias y distorsion, nos hablan del amor no correspondido, de la vida en tiempos dificiles y el regocijo de superarlo. Influyeron desde "Sunny Day Real Estate", "Texas Is the Reason" hasta "Death Cab For Cutie". poseen trabajos fantasticos, cada una difiere bastante del otro debido a los constantes cambios de integrantes que sufrio la banda; "Headsparks" el que ya es considerado todo un clasico del Slowcore y "Are You Driving Me Crazy?" que es toda una oda a la nostalgia con memorables acordes e intros de guitarra, pero sin duda "The Problem With Me" es el mejor regalo de "Seam" para el mundo y representa al Indie Rock en los 90's, un clasico de culto que sigue llamando a explorar mas el tan sublime mundo del Indie Rock.

I'm only posting this because they are one of my favorite bands of all time. They broke up forever ago but recently got back together and are finally touring again. If you've never listened to Glassjaw I'm sure you've heard the name and you should stop sleeping on it. They are one of the most original, intense, and influential post-hardcore bands ever (in my opinion). "Everything..." is their first LP released in 2000. "Worship and Tribute" was their second record, released in 2002. It's a masterpiece. "Our Color Green" is their newest set of songs since getting back together.

I personally consider Bravo Fucking Bravo to be one of the most unappreciated Screamo bands of 21st century. They had two releases a demo and II (their LP). BFB has L'antietam like tone and guitar work at times, combined with a constant pulsing Rock n' Roll rhythm, throw in some catchy chants and you have a great Screamo album. BFB's strength is really in that they can pretty much do anything well and they seamlessly mesh different styles into their own unique blend. Enjoy!

Vanilla

Banda Emo, Screamo de Francia. Esta banda altamente contribuyo al surgimiento de la escena hardcore francesa junto con "Jasemine" y "Ivich", tambien dejaria un perdurable legado en la evolucion sonora del genero. Con un prospero sonido influenciado por las bandas de "Gravity Records" y "Ebullition Records", llevaron su visceral sonido en un demo que seria una de las primeras grabaciones del genero en europa. Para despues de esto la banda comenzó a dar un giro con la dinamica fuerte-suave; esteticamente similar a "Indian Summer", consolidando asi un estilo dentro del genero al que mucho despues bandas como "La Quiete" y "Suis La Lune" realizarian. La llegada de la nueva decada hizo que la banda sentara sus torturados ruidos para converger en un juego de crecientes guitarras limpias y de partes instrumentales, muy bien estructurada en "Plays "Fantastique"" y ya para despues la influencia progresiva del Post Rock no tardaria en llegar tal como lo muestra la cancion "Heartbreak" que forma parte de la trilogia de "Our Dreams Walking Their Way".

Banda Indie, Emo 90's de Rockford, Illinois. Una de las ultimas bandas independientes Post-Mineral que trataron de ofrecer una salida indie al decadente genero. Realizaron un sonido derivado de los acordes de "The Blacktop Cadence" como tambien de "The Promise Ring" pero algo mas lento, con una voz que recuerda a "Joan Of Arc" y en algunos aspectos a "Mineral", agregaron a esta base melodica los perfectos estallidos de una caja de ritmos, que en algunos casos ayuda a mantener la hilacion, creando un sonido gratificante y nostalgico manteniendo la escencia magica del emo 90's.

OFWGKTA (Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All) have been receiving a lot of well deserved hype as of late. They kick ass, dont give a fuck about anything, and make sick ass beats. If you are a first time listener I would start off with "Radical" since it has all of the members on it, and does a good job of showcasing each of their respective styles. All of the releases are pretty rad, but Tyler,The Creator's Bastard is by far my favorite. If Satan was a 19 year old black kid who liked to skateboard and rap, he would probably sound like Tyler and write the same lyrics. Sick and twisted stuff, yet oddly entertaining. They also hate Steve Harvey, and so do I.

The Hated Megapost

Annapolis, Maryland activa desde 1985 hasta 1990. El Midwest Emo sin esta banda no tendria sentido, ni existiria o si a pesar hubiera existido no llegaria a ser el movimiento musical que fue. "Revolucion Summer" trajo a esta banda con aptitudes bien dispares (tanto en lo Acustico y en el Punk Rock) y asi lo demuestra "No More We Cry", pero la influencia del Rock Alternativo no tardaria en llegar.
