YAWN are yet another glowing band out of the expansive Chicago scene. They were down at SXSW playing alongside some really cool bands including Neon Indian and Best Coast, and joined art-rockers A Lull at a Chicago showcase. Their self-titled EP is big step into some tropical psych-pop, with tasty guitar licks and blissful electro runs all around. For me, the main theme here was intense colorful fun.
